About Joey

I'm Joey and I'm 10 years old. I was born in Lansing but lived in Westland, Michigan for my first 2 years. I then moved with daddy back to Grand Ledge, Michigan where I went to Delta Mills Christian Daycare while daddy was working for the bank. I was baptized at St. Pat's Catholic Church in Portland, Michigan. I attended St. Michael's Catholic School for 4 years. When daddy was deployed to Iraq, the Ingham County FOC (click here to complain about FOC) allowed my mom to uproot me from the community I've been a part of for 5 years. I then was forced to move away from my family, friends, school, church, and neighbors and had to attend school in Mason, Michigan. This is where my mom lives now. I attended 4th grade there and just recently started 5th grade. I'd rather be "back in Grand Ledge at St. Mikes where all my friends are at. I miss them."

My mom tells me that I'm not allowed to talk to the judge and she won't let me. My daddy is working on getting me time with the judge so I can tell her what I really want. I'm only allowed to see my daddy every other weekend. Mom doesn't spend a lot of time with me she just buys me stuff. Mom doesn't let me do special things with dad when they come up. I wanted to go to the Ionia Free Fair this summer to see The Newsboys, a Christian rock band. The band played on a Monday night and daddy only gets me on Friday night until Sunday night so mom wouldn't let me spend extra time with him so I could go. Mom has also refused to let me spend an extra hour with daddy so we could stay at the Detroit Zoo until it closed.

I love to play baseball, hockey, and swim. I also like to skateboard, ride scooters, and ride my new motorcycle my daddy bought me. I am really good at using computers because I've been using them since before I was 2 years old! Daddy and I like to play Xbox too. We play multiplayer games and like to play on teams. I really like taking my paintball guns out to Uncle Jeff's. We have targets made up out there for target practice.
